107 year old Helen is dreaming of a Skype Christmas
A lady from Hanover Housing Association’s Rossefield Manor, Extra Care housing estate in Leeds, West Yorkshire, has taken her first Skype master class.
107 year old Helen Dufton was joined by Age UK National Internet Champion Margaret Goodwin for an internet master class which included a whole host of top tips, including an introduction to Skype, television streaming and some money saving tips.
Helen said: “I have to admit things have really changed since I listened to the wireless and Bing Crosby on my gramophone.”
Age UK and Hanover Internet Champion Margaret Goodwin said: “Helen is a fast learner and got to grips with the internet in a short space of time.”
“She is now hoping that Santa will leave an ipad in her Christmas stocking so that she can tune into the Queen’s speech”, she added
