Staff
Our business relationships result in bringing together an impressive array of skills and experience. They also result in an approach that is responsive to the needs of individuals, but also addresses the challenges of retirement faced by society as a whole.
Residents
We provide quality retirement and Extra Care housing options to rent or to buy and have a wealth of expertise to offer. We do not compromise on quality of service and aim to ensure residents remain at the heart of what we do. We listen to residents and have a structured process to ensure that their views and opinions are used to influence decisions about how we provide our services in the future.
Local authorities
We work with 175 local authorities and have an indepth understanding of their needs and structures in order to meet their statutory and discretionary obligations and local commissioning priorities. Building healthy and successful partnerships with local authorities has become central to Hanover’s approach to developing retirement and Extra Care housing.
The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA)
An important element our funding is the Social Housing Grant which is provided by the HCA, with whom we have Development Partnership status. This is a vital partnership which permits us to design and build our high quality properties and assists us to help fulfil local authority and Department of Health objectives.
The Private sector
We work with a multitude of private sector organisations to help deliver our objectives. We take the trouble to understand how they work and their objectives so that we can work professionally and constructively with them.
We enter formal partnerships where this is appropriate and work with our framework building contractors to help ensure that we achieve some of the shortest design and build timetables in the sector.
We feel a responsibility for the quality of the services commercial care providers deliver to our residents, and work constructively on a day to day basis to ensure those services are delivered reliably and to a high standard.
The Voluntary sector
The voluntary sector is an important contributor to the welfare of our residents. We work with local agencies and individuals to facilitate their work on all our estates.
Local communities
We are proud to meet the aspirations and demands of older people by providing secure homes that encourage social interaction and a high degree of independence.
Our model of flexible services and a range of on site facilities coupled with the right location has meant that our estates become more than a home for residents and a real hub for the community.
Staff
We value our staff, in whom we invest through an extensive training and development programme and offer a competitive benefits and rewards package. We recognise achievement through our oustanding achievement and long service awards.
