About the Hanover Group

The Hanover Group is a collection of organisations that specialise in the design, development and management of housing, support and services for older people. The main organisations in the Hanover Group are:

• Hanover Housing Association - a charitable registered social landlord (RSL) which has properties in over 200 local authority areas across England. Most of the association’s housing stock is designed and managed to assist people aged over 55 to live their lives independently, with a growing emphasis on ExtraCare facilities. Hanover also operates a home improvement agency, in 15 locations and have two Handy Van services
• Hanover in Hackney Limited - a charitable RSL that provides housing for older people in the London Borough of Hackney
• Hanover Heritage - provides a mixture of residential care and retirement housing for older people
• Hanover Property Management Limited - a specialist manager of leasehold retirement properties across England and Wales.

Together, the Group is one of the largest specialist providers of retirement housing and support in England and offers the widest choice of tenures and services of any registered social landlord in the sector:

• for people needing to rent, part own or buy
• for older people of all ethnic groups
• for people at home needing personal care or help with home maintenance
• for people wishing to remain leasehold or shared ownership home owners

Our portfolio includes:

• Retirement housing, where residents can live independently in affordable, self-contained rent or leasehold accommodation, providing security and peace of mind
• ExtraCare housing, where meals, a more extensive range of facilities – including, for example, a hairdresser and hobby room – and readily available care services, are all provided. Available to rent, leasehold or shared ownership
• Home improvement agency, that helps older home owners and private tenants over the age of 60 and anyone of any age with a disability, to improve, repair and adapt their homes
• Hanover Heritage, which offers a range of housing with character,  for older people.
