Fundraising at Hanover Court
Residents at Hanover Court in Goole raised a fantastic £615 for Cancer Relief UK recently; after holding an afternoon of fun on their estate.
The afternoon, which included a champagne reception and a buffet, saw tribute acts including Tina Turner, Al Johnson, Tony Christie and Abba revival take to the stage to entertain the residents and their families.
A giant raffle and auction, with items donated from local businesses, was held and the event even had its very own Pearly Queen – one of Hanover Court’s oldest residents.
The success of the event will do a great deal to help Cancer Relief UK; a charity providing grants to people in need across the country.
