Hanover pioneers online social networking

In the August 2008 edition of The Bridge Group's magazine 'Involve' there is an article on Hanover World, our online social network.

We were the first housing association to provide a group for our residents to make new friends, share photos, videos and journals and to create a place where they can freely discuss life as a Hanover resident.

"We wanted our new website to do things for our people", explains Gavin Cansfield, Hanovers directory of Strategy and Improvement, "So we built the interactive parts of our site around what our residents are really interested in"

Frome

The town of Frome is a market town with the highest number of listed buildings in Somerset. It is steeped in history and today is renowned for its art festival which was recently listed in the top ten of arts festivals in the country and its annual Cheese show. It boasts a cinema, a leisure centre, an arts centre and two theatres as well as many thriving clubs and activities. In 2005 it was in the top ten “hotspots” of places to live as reported in The Times. The town is close to Bath and Bristol and about an hour drive from the coastal towns of Weymouth and Bournemouth.
