What can I look forward to from a Hanover retirement estate?
With hundreds of estates across England and several in Wales each estate is individual and we have something to suit everyone. We provide a tailored service on each estate which we agree each year with the residents, enabling them to decide what is most important to them. We try to ensure residents are involved in the decision making that affects them wherever possible, this include areas such as services and repairs contractors for the estate.
Each property typically provides:
-
a self-contained property with a bathroom and fitted kitchen;
-
access to an out of hours alarm and monitoring service – we recommend our in house service – “Hanover On Call”.
Some properties enjoy the benefit of communal facilities such as a laundry, lounge, gardens or a guest suite for family and friends to rent for the night.
Pets are welcome in all of our properties.
Whatever type of property you choose you can be sure that you will be moving to a home maintained and managed to the highest standards.
To find out more about the facilities available at individual locations please contact our Service Centre on 0800 280 2575.
Who is eligible?
If you are looking to rent and are aged over 55 you can apply for a Hanover retirement property irrespective of your circumstances. Please note however some estates have a requirement that the occupiers are aged over 60. We generally expect that you intend to use a rented property as your permanent residence.
For a home ownership property, there will generally be a lease or transfer agreement which will contain an age requirement. When you buy the property we will check that this requirement is met.
We work closely with local councils who nominate people to us for vacancies which occur.
