Managers Aspire to success
A group of managers from Hanover have become the first graduates of the housing association's innovative Aspire Management Development Programme.
Over the past two years we have developed a new approach to management and leadership training which leads to a fully funded level five Diploma in Management and Leadership accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Diane Jamieson, Head of Extra Care Operations South said: “It’s great that it includes practical examples and discussions as well as the traditional written assessments. I’m really pleased to have been part of the first group to successfully complete the course, and would encourage other managers in Hanover to take part”
The Aspire programme has also led to Hanover becoming the first housing association to be given ‘CMI Approved Centre’ status which means we can now deliver the institute’s accredited management qualifications.
CMI have recognised the programme is unique to its sector which has lead to Hanover reaching the 2011 final of the prestigious Training Journal national awards.
Bruce Moore, Chief Executive said: “It is a hugely exciting time at Hanover; the Aspire management development programme is just one example of the innovative ways we are working to develop staff to ensure we continue to deliver a high quality service to our residents.”
