Haywards Heath has a post office, library, community hall, leisure centre, several parks, cycle paths and a golf course, as well as many pubs and restaurants in the Broadway.
Clair Hall has community events from ceilidh classes to National Trust lectures and line dancing. The Haywards Heath operatic society puts on two shows a year and the Weald Theatre Group presents an annual pantomime every Christmas. It also serves as the local cinema. The local leisure centre has two public pools, a sports hall, squash courts, fitness and health suites.
The central park is also a venue for the annual Town Day and other summer music festivals. Beech Hurst Gardens lie just on the edge of the town with informal recreational facilities. Victoria Park has 14 acres of open space offering both formal and informal recreational activities, three tennis courts and a popular wooded area where residents can relax.
