Watford is situated 17 miles northwest of central London and within the bounds of the M25 motorway. The National Cycle Route 6 and 61 run to the south and east of the town along the Ebury Way and the Colne Valley Cycle Route.
Watford is served by buses which link it to the wider surrounding area. Watford railway station connects London Euston to the Midlands, north-west England and Scotland. Watford tube station is currently the terminus of the Watford branch of London Underground's Metropolitan Line. Regular and frequent bus and coach services connect Watford Junction station to Heathrow Airport and Luton Airport.
