Haywards Heath has a post office, library, community hall, leisure centre, several parks, cycle paths and a golf course, as well as many pubs and restaurants in the Broadway.

Clair Hall has community events from ceilidh classes to National Trust lectures and line dancing. The Haywards Heath operatic society puts on two shows a year and the Weald Theatre Group presents an annual pantomime every Christmas. It also serves as the local cinema.
