In the locality

This large southeast London town has many doctors, dentists, opticians and other health professionals to choose from. The Glades shopping mall and pedestrianised High Street offer a good variety of retailers and some unusual restaurants, plus there is four-screen cinema.

At the new Pavilion Leisure Centre you’ll find a swimming pool, ten pin bowling centre, gym, fitness classes plus a cafe, restaurant and bar. You could also enjoy fine walks or maybe a picnic at Queen's Gardens, Martin’s Hill, Church House Gardens, Library Gardens and College Green.

Historically Bromley was a Kentish market town and an important coaching stop on the way to Hastings from London. Bromley College is a notable historic building while the parish church of St Peter and St Paul incorporates a medieval tower. Bromley also has its own Morris team, The Ravensbourne Morris Men.

There are a number of theatres in the town centre including the Bromley Little Theatre and the Churchill Theatre, which also houses the large central library. Bromley Arts Council is based at Ripley Arts Centre, offering art exhibitions, music plus a wide range of educational courses and activities.

Located just off the A21 at Bromley Common, Crown Meadow Court is easily reached from junction 4 of the M25. Bromley is served by several railway stations; the nearest being Bickley and Bromley South. Both stations provide frequent services to central London Victoria, Orpington and Bedford.

Regular bus services operate from the town centre serving areas such as Orpington, Lewisham, and Croydon, plus outer areas such as Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells.
