There are three large supermarkets in the area and a good choice of high street stores from clothing to pet stores. There is a farmers market twice a month selling local produce. Larkswood Leisure Centre has a fantastic deck level 25m main pool with special low cost swim cards for over 60s as well as a gym and exercise classes.

Epping Forest

One notable local landmark in Epping Forest is Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge. Although it has been heavily altered over time, the building is located on Chingford Plain within the forest and is open to the public. Originally a barn built in the mid-19th century, the Grade II listed building Butlers Retreat is one of the few remaining Victorian retreats within the forest. Set within Epping Forest is Chingford golf course and West Essex golf club.
