Sudbury is a delightful small market town in Suffolk. It still has many independent shops, a wonderful department store as well as the usual high street stores with a choice of supermarkets.
The Valley Walk cycle route and footpath, starts at the Sudbury water meadows and continues along the disused railway track, finishing close to the Long Melford Country Park, and then connects to the Melford Walk. The Kingfisher Leisure Centre in Sudbury has a 25m pool, sauna, spa, café, group fitness classes and gym. Sudbury Garden Centre is situated outside the town with plants, gardening products, gifts and a restaurant.

The Quay Theatre shows plays, comedies and films as well as running a Book Club, Musical Society, Film Club and the Sudbury Dramatic Society. Each September, the twenty four mile stretch of the River Stour hosts hundreds of canoe and small boat enthusiasts in a weekend event called Sudbury To The Sea.
