Haxey is a small village to the east of Doncaster. There are three public houses in the village, two convenience stores, a doctor's surgery, and a local estate agency.
The village itself lies between the villages of Westwoodside and Owston Ferry and forms part of the Isle of Axholme. It is most famous for the “Haxey Hood” – a local event with over 700 years of history, reputedly making it Britain’s oldest traditional tussle!
