Keswick is a delightful market town in Cumbria in the heart of the Lake District National Park. There are many independent and individual shops selling antiques, books, paintings and pottery, jewellery, speciality foods and local produce as well as clothes, gifts, and traditional toys. There is also a choice of small supermarkets in Keswick.  The market is held every Thursday and Saturday in the pedestrianized main street in the middle of the town.

Keswick is in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. There is a good choice of attractions, visitor centres and parks just waiting to be explored with something for every taste and age group. There are numerous guided walking groups in the area. Keswick has two parks with beautiful floral displays and wide open green spaces with space for both quiet relaxation and games.

For those wishing to find out more about the rich cultural and industrial heritage of the area there is the opportunity to visit museums and historic houses. The town is also the home of the modern Theatre by the Lake. It carries on the tradition of summer season productions first started by Century Theatre in the 'Blue Box'.
