For most of our Extra Care Housing estates we have agreements with the local authority to let a percentage of our vacant properties to people nominated by them. Hanover’s agreement for this estate is that all of the allocations are managed by the local authority, South Beds District Council, who can be contacted on 0300 300 8302.
This is an Extra Care development with a range of 28 one and two bed apartments. There are many facilities on site for the residents including a treatment room, dining room, hairdressers and library. A professional on-site manager looks after buildings and grounds maintenance and repairs, as well as helping you to access further help and support if you need it.
This is a friendly and inclusive community and activities include Parkinson’s support group, slimming group, bridge, yoga and relaxation, beetle drives, Alzheimer Friends, scrabble, Bedfordshire Carers Support Group, Hospice at Home volunteers and numerous other U3A groups.
Leighton Buzzard is a town in Bedfordshire. It has a large variety of shops selling everything from food to fashion. Most shops are located around the High Street and a lively market is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre has two indoor swimming pools, squash courts, an all-weather sports pitch, tennis and netball courts, sports hall, roller skating, badminton, fitness training centre and a café.
Pages Park has a children's amusement area, pavilion, cricket pitch and a croquet lawn. In the summer months there are free band concerts in the recreation ground.
The Grand Union Canal passes through Leighton Buzzard and the tow path is used extensively by joggers, walkers and cyclists. The Leighton Buzzard Light Railway, a narrow gauge heritage railway is also very popular with visitors.
Leighton Buzzard is close to the M1 motorway and A5. The railway station is on the main London (Euston) to Birmingham line. Nearby stations on this line include Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead and Watford. Buses run regularly from Leighton Buzzard to most local towns including, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, and Dunstable. This particular development is just off the Vandyke Road in the west of the town.
