For some of our Retirement Housing estates we have agreements with the local authority to let a percentage of our vacant properties to people nominated by them. Hanover’s agreement for this estate is that all of the allocations are managed by the local authority, Mid Sussex District Council/Affinity Sutton, who can be contacted on 0300 100 0303.
Offering a range of 17 retirement apartments, The Heights in Haywards Heath is conveniently sited for local shops, transport links and amenities. An estate manager visits weekly to look after the buildings and grounds maintenance, plus you can receive advice on accessing further help and support as required. Residents of the apartments also enjoy use of the attractive shared landscaped gardens.
Haywards Heath has a post office, library, community hall, leisure centre, several parks, cycle paths and a golf course, as well as many pubs and restaurants in the Broadway.
Clair Hall has community events from ceilidh classes to National Trust lectures and line dancing. The Haywards Heath operatic society puts on two shows a year and the Weald Theatre Group presents an annual pantomime every Christmas. It also serves as the local cinema. The local leisure centre has two public pools, a sports hall, squash courts, fitness and health suites.
The central park is also a venue for the annual Town Day and other summer music festivals. Beech Hurst Gardens lie just on the edge of the town with informal recreational facilities.
