Pinner Park Farm is a 93 hectare countryside site surrounded by suburban residential areas. There are several ponds in the park and a wealth of wildlife including muntjac deer, weasels, kingfishers and owls.
Art and culture
This leafy suburb has wide tree-lined streets, large detached houses and flat conversions in attractive Edwardian buildings. The majority of the older houses in Pinner were built by the Ellement family who were the local company of builders and joiners, with a road in Pinner still named after that family.
Pinner Players, the local amateur dramatics group are always looking for new members who would like to participate in amateur theatre and filming is also popular in the area. The Pinner Association organises Summer concerts in the Park and manages Pinner Memorial Hall, which is used for celebrations, meetings and private parties.
Location and transport links
The A404 connects the town to Rickmansworth and onward to junction 17 of the M25. Pinner bus services run to Golders Green, Harrow, South Harrow, Ruislip Lido, Northwood and Mount Vernon Hospital. Pinner is served by London Underground's Metropolitan Line in zone 5 and by five London Buses bus routes. Hatch End station operates to London Euston and Watford by London Overground.
