Vote of thanks
Grateful pensioners from Portishead threw a party for their landlord to say thank you for all the support they have been given.
Victor Armstrong, of Hanover House sheltered accommodation, organised the thank you party for staff at Hanover Housing Association which runs the building.
The 70-year-old said: "We just want to say thank you to the housing association for its help and support and for upgrading our homes with new windows, heaters and doors as well as carpets in the landings."
Hanover House, in Friary Road, contains 30 flats and the staff make sure all the residents are happy and well looked after.
Residents would also like to thank area manager, Heady Marsh, for always being there and to welcome the new estate manager June Jordan, who has also supported the pensioners by listening to their problems.
Victor added: "The staff are the best. They really look after us.
