Hanover provides residential care homes through its subsidiary, Hanover Heritage.

Hanover Heritage’s residential care provides 'home from home' comfort for residents in attractive surroundings. We offer a happy and secure environment where relatives, friends and visitors are welcome at any time.

Our estates

Our residential care homes are set within a unique and attractive range of converted and purpose-built properties, each in their own private grounds and individual in their design. There are passenger lifts, wherever necessary, to allow easy access to all floors.  Every property is well-maintained and centrally heated throughout, including communal areas, to provide safety, warmth and comfort. Repairs and maintenance are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards.

Many estates have their own landscaped gardens offering a tranquil outdoor space for residents, while being located within or close to nearby towns with good transport links.

Services and facilities vary across our estates and may include a laundry, car parking, chiropody as well as visiting health and beauty services. All estates have a door entry system for added security. Residents can also enjoy many varied activities including day or weekend trips, music afternoons and arts and crafts.

Care on site

Our 24-hour professional care staff assist residents in need of help with bathing, dressing, going to bed and getting up. A call system in all rooms and ancillary areas ensures that residents can summon help at any time, day or night.

Emergency and routine medical cover is provided by the local general practice and district nurse. Residents can of course see their own doctor, if they prefer. The health and wellbeing of all residents are monitored informally on a daily basis, and regular reviews are carried out with the resident, by senior staff. Relatives and advisers are welcome to participate should they wish to.
