Hanover On Call

Hanover On Call is our in-house emergency alarm call and telecare monitoring service. Our service is designed to provide consistently high standards of response 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is externally audited annually by the Telecare Services Association. We currently provide services to 25,000 service users throughout England.

Alarm monitoring services

We offer a range of services that can be tailored to suit residents’ needs, which include:

  • Monitoring alarm calls from residents’ properties and communal areas
  • Monitoring communal door entry systems
  • Monitoring smoke detectors and communal fire alarm systems
  • Handling emergency maintenance and repairs when the estate manager is off site
  • Liaising with care providers and contract staff
  • Regular remote testing of site equipment to quickly identify faults
  • Reassurance calls to vulnerable residents
  • Access to a 24 hour translation service.

Telecare services

Hanover On Call can also help to access enhanced technology that may benefit frailer or disabled residents to remain living independently. Telecare (or assistive technology) is generally provided by the local authority with Hanover On Call providing the monitoring service. The type of equipment available includes:

  • Fall detectors - which send an automatic alert if someone falls over and may be unconscious
  • Flood detectors – which give an early automatic warning of a bath or sink overflowing if a tap has been left on
  • Occupancy sensors – which automatically alerts the call centre if someone falls out of, or fails to get in or out of, a bed/chair.

More advanced and sophisticated equipment is constantly becoming available for an increasing range of situations. We work closely with social services departments and care agencies to ensure that appropriate equipment and telecare services are provided to benefit residents. If you would like further information on telecare services, please contact us.
