Getting Involved

Involving and listening to residents and staff is important to us and ensuring we involve as many of them as possible will help us to achieve our vision of being the leading provider of housing and related services to older people.
Hanover has several mechanisms already in place including our Residents’ Council and Staff Council, our Intouch consultative panel with over 600 members, Hanoverworld our social networking site for residents and 2 residents who are Board members.
We have also developed local agreements on all of our estates. These are written agreements between Hanover and the residents of each particular estate which determine the services provided on that estate by Hanover. Residents are fully engaged in the process of drawing up the agreement to ensure they can influence the services that are provided, decide what the remits of those services are and also what their longer term aspirations for services might be.
We have held a number of resident and staff events - 'Stronger Together' which involved over 1200 residents and staff across the country and more recently the 'Future Choices' events which took place in May and June 2010.
