Extra Care Estate Manager, Corby

What you’ll be doing

As an Extra Care Estate Manager you’ll be customer focused, flexible, have a strong passion for older people’s rights and independence and reflect our shared values in your day-to-day activities. This is an exciting opportunity to join Anchor Hanover Group at the start of a new development and vision for our Extra Care services for older people. 

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a flexible and local housing management and support service to meet the needs of customers living at the scheme
  • Line management responsibility for estate based staff
  • Connect with residents, sign-posting and helping them with accessing health and social services, and encourage inclusion in social events
  • Help new residents settle into their homes in a positive and respectful way
  • Manage contractors in an honest and proactive manner to ensure homes are well maintained, and communal repairs are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the estate

Who we need

We are looking for people who share our values, and believe in our mission and vision. This role will be multifaceted and we need individuals with a 'can do' attitude. The role will be fast paced and you will need to have a flexible and resilient approach.

Key experience and skills

You do not need to have previous estate or housing experience as we’ll provide an in-depth training programme covering all aspects of estate practice. However we are looking for:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of Line management of people
  • Contract management and budget setting skills
  • Ability and experience of managing conflicting and multiple priorities
  • A knowledge and awareness of health and safety legislation would be desirable
  • High level of flexibility and ability to travel
