Housing Services Manager, Hackney, London

£34,989 per annum including outer London allowance

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What you’ll be doing

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing professional to join our Downsizer Homes team in North London.

As Housing Services Manager, you will ensure that your property portfolio of aspirational, mixed tenure homes are managed to high standards of customer satisfaction and within budget. You'll also ensure that your property portfolio delivers against both Anchor Hanover's and customers' expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Be responsible for two Downsizer Homes developments, building close links with local authorities and other stakeholders and continuously improving service quality for residents
  • Own business performance for your area
  • Manage, mentor, motivate, recruit and develop your team
  • Manage the relationship between landlord, managing agent and developer
  • Manage assets through prompt repairs
  • Maximise income and minimise voids
  • Maintain positive dialogue with residents over services and charges

Who we need

You'll need a good standard of education, an outgoing personality, a flexible and positive approach and excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills.

Key experience and skills

  • Experience of managing a mixed tenure development
  • Demonstrable budget control skills
  • An innovative approach to service improvement and change
  • Understanding of the housing needs and issues of older people
  • Very strong communication and negotiation skills and ability to engage residents
  • Customer focus, creativity and entrepreneurial flair
  • A valid driving licence and the ability to travel between sites
