For most of our Extra Care Housing estates we have agreements with the local authority to let a percentage of our vacant properties to people nominated by them. Hanover’s agreement for this estate is that all of the allocations are managed by the local authority, Bristol City Council, who can be contacted on 0117 922 2400.
Offering 48 Extra Care retirement apartments, Ash Lea Court in the Monks Park suburb of Bristol has a wide range of on-site facilities including shared gardens, residents’ lounge, hair salon and guest room.
The on-site manager takes care of buildings/grounds maintenance, as well as assisting with access to further support. Optional activities on the estate include coffee mornings, entertainment evenings, craft groups, film shows and keep fit, making this a fun and sociable place to live.
Conveniently located adjacent to Monks Park, the development is just a short distance from the heart of Bristol city centre. You’ll therefore find a host of high street shops, cafés and restaurants all on your doorstep. Monks Park is the highest point within the city, offering fine views and pleasant walks close to the estate.
The estate is close to the A38 Filton Road, which is easily reached via the M32. Bus services operate to all local towns and villages. The main Bristol Temple Meads railway station offers good links for exploring the South West region and beyond, as does the main coach/bus station.
Filton Abbey Wood is a more local train station, where services include Portsmouth, Cardiff and the seaside towns of Brighton and Weston Super Mare. On the outskirts of the city is a large international airport, easily reached via shuttle bus from Temple Meads
