Arnside is a village in Cumbria, near to the west coast and the Lake District.  Pretty shops line Arnside promenade and local pubs provide a place to watch the boats on the Kent estuary.  You might spot the salmon leaping, while the tidal bore is a spectacular springtime sight.  There are many wooded walks around Arnside Knott, up to the PepperPot at Silverdale, or around the coast with its sea views.

The small railway station at Arnside connects to Carnforth, Grange, Ulverston and Barrow for main line links to Manchester and other destinations.
