For most of our Extra Care Housing estates we have agreements with the local authority to let a percentage of our vacant properties to people nominated by them. Hanover’s agreement for this estate is that all of the allocations are managed by the local authority, Bristol City Council, who can be contacted on 0117 922 2400.
Providing a real alternative to residential care, Blaise Weston Court has a range of 55 purpose built Extra Care retirement apartments. There's a wide range of on-site facilities, including landscaped gardens, a hobbies room, hair salon and guest room. A local manager looks after the upkeep of the buildings and gardens, as well as providing further help and support if required. Plus, with Anchor Hanover's 24 hour emergency call system, you can relax in the knowledge that you have access to help and assistance should you ever need it. You may enjoy meeting with other residents at the regular coffee mornings, lunch clubs, trips out and other social gatherings. Midday meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant, providing a choice of dishes. The one and two bed properties are also handy for shops, amenities and bus routes to the city centre.
Located near the green open space of the Blaise Castle estate, the development is just a short bus ride from the heart of Bristol city centre. There you will find a host of high street shops, cafés and restaurants all on your doorstep. There are churches just a short walk away, plus doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries are nearby.
Near to the estate is Lawrence Weston Community Farm, a community-managed project that encourages healthy eating. It produces fresh, affordable local food such as vegetables, meat, honey and eggs.
The estate is located just off Broadlands Drive in the Lawrence Weston area, with easy access to both the M49 and M5. Bus services operate across the city and surrounding areas, plus the main Bristol Temple Meads railway station offers good rail links for the South West region and beyond.
The nearest local train station is at Shirehamptom.
