Estate overview

Darcy House is an Extra Care development offering 52 eco-friendly, retirement properties for over 55s. Available facilities include landscaped gardens, residents’ lounge, laundry and lift access to upper floors, while the on-site restaurant provides hot lunches. There are also a variety of social activities open to residents.

An on-site manager looks after buildings/grounds maintenance and can offer advice on further support available.

Local area

The purpose built apartments and bungalows are sited close to local amenities, including a doctor’s surgery, pharmacy and bus routes.

Dagenham itself comprises restaurants, pubs, a leisure centre and cinema. Valence Park on Becontree Avenue is within strolling distance, and contains Valence House museum, the only surviving manor house in Dagenham. Within the park you’ll also find a fishing lake, sports pitches and a library.

Transport links

The estate is located just off the A1240 not far from Goresbrook Park, near the A13. Dagenham Heathway is the nearest tube station on the District line for services to central London.

There’s a mainline station at Dagenham Dock for services to Fenchurch Street and Grays via Rainham. Dagenham Heathway is served by London bus routes 145,173,174,175 and 364.
