Birchington-on-Sea is a village in northeast Kent.  The village has several clubs for water sports such as Minnis Bay Sailing Club.  The Powell-Cotton Museum houses galleries of stuffed animal.

Birchington’s three smaller beaches are surrounded by chalk cliffs, cliff stacks and caves.  Minnis Bay is a popular family beach with attractions such as sailing, windsurfing, restaurants, coastal walking and cycling routes.  Wildlife can be observed from the Thames Estuary.

Transport links

Birchington-on-Sea sits between the towns of Herne Bay and Margate.  The A28 runs between Hastings and Margate via Ashford, Canterbury, Birchington and Westgate-on-Sea.
