Hanover Finance team in the running for housing association team of the year
30 March 2017
The Finance team of Hanover Housing Association, a national retirement housing provider, has been shortlisted for this year’s Housing Association National Accountancy (HANA) awards.
The nomination is in recognition of the team’s consistent track record of delivering excellent services to its customers, while doing more with fewer resources. This year the team played a significant role in the ‘Taking Hanover Forward’ change programme and assessed Government proposals around the Local Housing Allowance and the impact it could have on the organisation.
The HANA awards are in their fourth year and will once again showcase the finance teams and individuals who are adapting to the new business models needed within the sector. The event is organised by the National Housing Federation and has attracted a huge response from housing associations across the UK.
Matthew Peak, Director of Finance at Hanover said: 'Just to be shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and is a deserved outcome for a hard working and diligent team. They have a customer-centric focus which places budget holders and their teams at the heart of everything it does. The team goes over and above what normally might be expected in order to provide invaluable support across Hanover’s entire network.'
The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in London on 6 July.
