Cedarwood has 35 one and two bed apartments, with benefit of a guest room and laundry. Optional activities on the estate include coffee mornings, entertainment evenings and classes, making this a fun and sociable place to live.

Poynton has a number of pubs and restaurants. Park Lane is the main shopping street which boasts two supermarkets, a pharmacy, opticians, craft shops and a library. There are also four churches within a short walking distance of Cedarwood which hold lots of activities.
The Civic Centre has a hall, a library and a medical complex. There is a sports club covering many sporting interests plus a leisure centre with a swimming pool, gym and large sports hall together with outdoor sports facilities.
Things to see and do
The Poynton Show is held every August bank holiday weekend. It offers a full range of events in the main arena, a fairground, exhibitions and competitive events.
Ceilidhs take place regularly at the Poynton community centre. With some of the best ceilidh bands and callers, the dances range from modern to traditional. It is something you can attend on your own as ceilidhs are a great social mix.
Lyme Park has a hall which was originally a Tudor house. There are deer in the grounds and it’s a good place to enjoy a woodland walk. The ornamental lake, known locally as Poynton Pool, was created in the 1760s. Poynton Coppice is a designated local nature reserve. Macclesfield canal and marina at Higher Poynton is worth a visit.
Cedarwood is located on Leigh Close just off Park Lane, near to A523 London Road. It can easily be reached via the A6 and the M60. The town lies close to Macclesfield, Stockport and Manchester.
You’ll find there’s a mainline railway station in the town served by an hourly off-peak rail service to Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester Piccadilly.
