Shrewton is a village in Wiltshire set in the middle of Salisbury Plain. The local recreation hall holds film nights showing a variety of movies to suit most tastes. Shrewton Day Centre meets weekly and runs a series of events and workshops including arts, crafts and fitness classes. You may also wish to join in with the various social activities and trips out.
The village hosts an annual flower show and beer festival. There’s also a local cricket team that play in the Hampshire League.

Lords Walk near Amesbury gives you a unique view of the River Avon plus a fine walk leading to the Abbey. You may wish to visit the local church where a 15th Century Benedictine Abbey clock is housed.
Stonehenge is the closest attraction to Amesbury and there is an interesting two mile walk nearby across the historic landscape. Just near to the borders of Somerset and Dorset is Mere, a village steeped in history. Tisbury, the largest village in Wiltshire’s Nadder Valley, is also worth a visit.
