The town has wide, sandy beaches which have been awarded Blue Flag status. There are two piers and the local landmark of Lowestoft High Lighthouse, which was built in 1874, is worth a visit. Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is situated on the northern edge of the town. There are a wide variety of boat trips and water sports to choose from. The annual Lowestoft Air Show showcases a wide range of aircraft including the Red Arrows, a Lancaster bomber, Spitfires and an Avro Vulcan.

The development is conveniently situated just off the A117, near the A12. The main A12 road from London to Great Yarmouth passes through the centre of Lowestoft. Regular bus services run to Norwich, Great Yarmouth and surrounding villages - and the town has frequent rail services to both Norwich and Ipswich. The local train stations are at Oulton Broad North, Oulton Broad South and Lowestoft.
