Local facilities

Selsey is a small village close to Selsey Bill which is the most southern tip of West Sussex.  It has fine beaches, historical buildings, some quirky restaurants and a number of pleasant walks and cycle routes across the mainly flat terrain. Nearby is Chichester, famous for its shopping and is one of the most attractive retail areas in the south. You will find a great variety of shops - from gifts to antiques, books to fashion.

The harbour and surrounding land is of national importance for both flora and fauna. The shingle spit is also of geological interest. The wide landscapes exposed coastal location and diverse birdlife lure many artists to Selsey, many of whom belong to Selsey Arts Society. The Society holds regular exhibitions and events. Backing on to the Downs alongside the coast is the Selsey Golf Club, which also offers tennis, fishing and bowls facilities.

There’s a regular bus service into Chichester, just a 15 minute journey away, plus a community bus service which serves the outlying areas of the town.
