North Finchley is primarily a residential and shopping area, with several supermarkets and many restaurants. The Artsdepot on Nether Street is a local community arts centre which includes a gallery, studio, café and a theatre.

Out and about

Victoria Park is located off Ballards Lane between North Finchley and Finchley Central. Opened in 1902 to mark Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, it has ornamental gardens, playing fields, tennis courts, a bowling club and a café.

Avenue House is a large Grade II listed Victorian house situated on East End Road in Finchley. It is regularly used for parties and fund-raising quizzes. The Stephens Collection, a small display of material relating to the Stephens Ink Company and the history of writing materials, is on show here.
