Worcester Park is in southwest London close to Cheam. The high street forms the focal point and has a good number of shops, banks, estate agents, building societies, restaurants, pubs and coffee bars. These include both multiples and independents and two large superstores.

Cheam Park and Recreation Grounds have a large range of amenities. For the sports enthusiasts it has a bowling green and pavilion, tennis courts and football pitches. The Cheam Village Fair is a popular community event that takes place over one day on the Spring Bank Holiday Monday at the end of May in the recreation ground.

Parks and performance

Part of the Hamptons development in the area houses a large new green space called Mayflower Park which has a grass amphitheatre for performances and an area of five wetlands as a nature reserve. There are frequent productions at The Charles Cryer Studio Theatre in Sutton.  As well as drama and musicals, productions include comedy and dance.

The Historical Nonsuch Park is a haven for walkers who can stroll along the meandering paths and enjoy the grounds. The Manor House with its formal gardens is a great place to stop for a coffee or tea. Half a mile away is the lovely Cheam park with its various recreation facilities.
