The Prospect is a public garden with fine views of the famous horseshoe bend in the River Wye and the Black Mountains beyond. The ruins of Wilton Castle lie to the west of the town and are open to visitors.
The banks of the River Wye offer magnificent, unspoilt scenery. The lower Wye Valley has steeply wooded cliffs and some spectacular viewpoints, such as Symonds Yat. The area is ideal for walkers while anglers will enjoy fishing for salmon and trout in the river.
Nearby Ledbury is a historic local town and venue for events such as the Poetry Festival. The Market Theatre plays host to professional touring shows and also regularly shows films.

Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire is located on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Reynolds Court can be found in the suburb of Hildersley, just off the A40. The M50 is close by, for easy access to the M5.
